Focsan Monica

Monica Focsan is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Physics and Senior Researcher I at the Nanobiophotonics and Laser Microscopy Center (https://nanobiophotonics.ro/), Interdisciplinary Research Institute in Bio-Nano-Sciences, Babes-Bolyai University, Romania. She earned her PhD degree in Physics in 2010, in co-direction Joseph Fourier University/UBB. In the next 3 years, she performed three post-doctoral visiting stages at the Joseph Fourier University, Lyon 1 University and Paris 13 University. Her current research interests involve an interdisciplinary research focused on nano(bio)photonics with emphasis on synthesis and characterization of different versatile nanoparticles with particular morphologies for molecular (bio)sensing, (bio)imaging and therapeutic applications.
